Today's excursion!

The pink boots got a nice excursion today!
In the beautiful winter sunshine we had a drive around the Bull Arm site!
This is the bund wall, completed a few weeks ago. We are slowly getting nearer a dry dock to build the GBS in! Now all frozen now though! As it is minus 15 degrees....

Little piece of France!

Look what I saw today! A car with a French license plate here in St Johns! And not just any French plate, it's from St Pierre, a small island of Newfoundland!
Got to go there! Fun fun!

The Venus Jupiter conjunction

I finally saw it! And it's is pretty fascinating!
Living in the rainiest, foggiest, wettest city in North America, I have been waiting a long time for a clear night sky!

My old friend is back!

My old friend the Fog Horn is back!
Have not heard from him in months, but with a quick look outside, I see my other friend the Thick Fog is back too...

Early one morning at OSL

Heading west again! Well, that is if we get a slot to land in London.. 1hour delay they say! Then we only have 45 min in London! Well well, we have all day!!

A little trip home!

The plane is here, I am here, king winter is here, and all the snow plows are here! Hoping for the best!

St John's

Beautiful view of the city and the narrows.
Down town is not visible, as it is so steep. It starts from the two towers of the Basilica, and straight down into the sea!
You see signal hill to the left, and the MUN University campus just below the trees.

Pippy Park

And so we did! Dragged Andrew along with me as moral support and "local expert", and into the white forest we went! We forgot to check out the different trails on the map, so we just walked! And of course we got kind of lost, and ended up on top of the park, with a beautiful view of the city and the ocean!
With some common sense and some natural sende of directions, we made it back to the car! Nice hike in the sun!

And the evening was spent knitting and eating pizza with Torill! Our third knitting Sunday on a row. We are missing one team member tonight, Therese is in New York! But she will be back soon, to continue working on her headband!

So all in all a really nice Sunday in St John's!

A beautiful Sunday in SJ! It's so beautiful that I think a walk in the big park would be a good idea!

The snow made it into my garage!

I have a 1cm crack under my garage door! Needless to say, we have strong winds and blowing snow today....!
